A VICTIM of assault has been hospitalised after being punched repeatedly in the face.

The incident took place in Warwick Road, Banbury at about 7.15pm yesterday (Friday, December 2).

After the assault took place, the victim was taken to hospital to receive treatment.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses believing a number of people were around when the incident took place.

They are particularly keen to speak to a member of the public who helped the victim by pulling the suspect off him at the time.
