Bicester Neighbourhood Policing Team (BNPT) have bid farewell to beloved PCSO Val Guest on her last day with Thames Valley Police.

A spokesperson for BNPT said: “Val has been a well-known face working in Bicester town centre and has had a special affinity for safeguarding vulnerable people and mentoring young people at risk of exploitation or on the periphery of the criminal justice system.

“As well as her PCSO role, Val has also dedicated a lot of time voluntarily to being a leader with Thames Valley Police's Cadet Unit in Bicester.

“Last Thursday evening, Val's cadets met up with her to say goodbye and to see her receive a very well-deserved Loyal Service Award from Chief Superintendent Katy Barrow-Grint.

“She's been a fun and enthusiastic work colleague and a friend to many people at Bicester Police Station and we will miss her enormously.
