Bicester photographer Eddy Xi Gong has shared his pictures of Bicester’s Christmas lights switch on event with the Bicester Advertiser.

On Saturday hundreds of people gathered in Bicester market square to watch live music performances, peruse market stalls, enjoy festive treats and see the town’s Christmas lights being switched on.

During the day the streets were lined with marquees of local organisations, including 1st Bicester Scout group, Help for Heroes and Bicester Athletic Club.

There were also small fairground rides for children, bubble-makers, balloon sellers, food stalls including candy floss and hotdogs, and a grinch roaming around.

The mayor of Bicester, Councillor Alex Thrupp was present with three children to turn on the Christmas lights on stage in the evening.
