Oxford has well and truly gotten into the festive spirit, with Christmas markets, decorations and lights popping up around the city.

At the weekend, the Victorian Christmas Market reopened on Broad Street with traders dressed in Victorian clothes while they sold handmade gifts and season food and drinks.

Speaking with the Oxford Mail on the first trading day, stallholders were confident people would still come to the market despite the cost-of-living crisis.

On the same day that the market in Broad Street returned, the Westgate Centre's own festive fair opened to customers on the ground floor on the shopping centre.

Shoppers are set to be treated to more seasonal joy in the run up to Christmas, with the Oxford Christmas Market opening on December 1 and the arts market taking place this weekend.
