A husband-and-wife Strictly Come Dancing team will explore Oxfordshire in an upcoming episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The BBC Two TV series returned to screens on October 23 with a glittering line-up of celebrities out hunting for antiques.

This week’s episode, which will air on Wednesday, will see Strictly professionals Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec take to the road in Oxfordshire.

The couple, who used to compete against each other every Saturday night on Strictly before leaving the show, will be going head-to-head once again to see who can uncover the most interesting antiques and make the most money at auction.

Ms Manrara said: "We had so much fun searching for treasures on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip!

“We love antiques shopping and it's always exciting trying to find some rare items, especially ones that will look fabulous in our home.”

Mr Škorjanec added: “There was a healthy bit of competition going on – but don’t worry, we’re still talking to each other!"

Muslim Alim, BBC commissioning editor, said: “We're so happy to have Celebrity Antiques Road Trip back on our screens and with such an amazing range of famous faces.

“There’s something for everyone, with lots of laughter, entertainment and some friendly rivalry along the way.”

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip series 11 episode three will air on BBC Two on November 16 at 8pm.
