POLICE state a woman is ‘lucky to be alive’ after crashing at 100mph on the A34 after taking cannabis.

The incident happened on the A road near Bicester yesterday, Tuesday, November 8. The woman crashed the vehicle over the barrier at the side of the A34 and landed upside down into some shrubbery.

She was uninjured but then proceeded to fail a roadside drugs test for cannabis and was arrested.

In a statement made online, Thames Valley Police said: “It is only by sheer luck and modern car design that this driver is alive after a 100mph crash on A34 near Bicester.

“She was thankfully uninjured, but failed a roadside drugs test for Cannabis and was arrested. It’s not worth the risk, drug driving kills.”
