As Oxford United travel to non-league Woking for this weekend’s FA Cup meeting, here are some interesting stats to get you ready for the match.

This will be the first time the two sides will meet in the competition, and it will be the eighth time they will face one another in a competitive fixture.

The previous seven clashes were during Oxford’s non-league days between 2006 and 2010, with the U’s winning three of those matches, Woking one along with three draws.
Incredibly, out of those seven meetings, six clean sheets have been kept which includes three 0-0 draws in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

In fact, the only time a clean sheet was not kept in this fixture was in April 2008 when Phil Trainer scored a late goal to defeat the Cardinals at the Kingfield Stadium.
Woking are currently fifth in the National League and have picked up 30 points from their 17 league games so far this campaign.

They have kept two clean sheets in their last two matches which have both ended in 1-0 wins, and their stadium is the 16th biggest in terms of capacity out of the other National League teams.

It currently holds 6,036 spectators with the match on November 6 expecting to reach the respectable figure.

Some of their most notable players include former Oxford striker and journeyman Jefferson Louis who had a brief loan spell at the club from United during the 2003/04 season.

He then permanently signed for the mon-league outfit for the following season, where he scored three league goals in 25 league games.

Other noteworthy players include Charlton Athletic’s number one goalkeeper and Ghanian international Joe Wollacot, Oxford-born and former Wycombe Wanderers forward Gozie Ugwu, ex-Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter and recently fired Crawley Town boss Kevin Betsy.

The game will start at 2pm.
