A takeaway has been hit with a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Nadia's Indian Take Away, a takeaway at 5 Holm Square in Bicester, was given the minimum score after an assessment on September 28, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The agency's hygiene ratings are between 0 and 5.

Zero means urgent improvement is required.

According to its website, Nadias Indian takeaway was established in 2011 "with an emphasis on refined yet creative Indian cuisine".

The restaurant, which only does takeaway and deliveries, received a five-star review on Trip Advisor two weeks ago.

It means that of Cherwell's 106 takeaways with ratings, 60 (57 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
