Oxford's Botley Road is to be closed for 12 months at the rail bridge as work takes place to improve Oxford station.
The city council and Network Rail announced the proposals for a year-long closure on Monday, from January 9.
While traffic will be able to access Botley Road, it will not be able to pass under the bridge through to Frideswide Square and traffic will not be able to travel in the opposite direction either.

A bus turning circle is set to be created where Station Grill, formerly Mick's Cafe, is now situated.
Shoppers will still be able to access shops and businesses on Botley Road.
