A shop in Cowley Road was taped off after police received a call about an assault.

Yesterday (Saturday, October 29), police were called by a member of the public stating that an assault had happened in the vicinity of the Erdem Food Centre, on Cowley Road.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers are investigating but no victim has yet come forward.

“However, enquiries are ongoing to locate the victim and establish the circumstances around this report.”

Police are asking anyone with information around this incident to please call 101 quoting reference 43220486990.

An assault took place on Cowley Road earlier this month with one man being pushed up against a wall by a group of men and made to hand over his wallet.
