Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue were called a fire in a shop, after a vape caught light in a person’s pocket.

Crews from Bicester Fire Station along with Rewley Road Fire Station and BFRS Buckingham Fire Station were called to the shop on Saturday afternoon (October 25).

When the crews arrived at the scene they were faced with a lithium ion battery which had set on fire within a person’s pocket.

The owner of the vape was given a precautionary check over to check for injuries and was unharmed by the incident.
