A woman arrested on suspicion of murder in Banbury as been bailed, police have confirmed.
The 53-year-old from Northamptonshire was arrested on Tuesday following the death of an 88-year-old man in an assisted living block in School Lane, Banbury, on Monday night.
A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said the suspect, whose name or relationship to the alleged victim has not been released, has since been released on police bail.
On Tuesday, DI Alice Broad of the Major Crime Unit said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the suspicious death. “Our enquiries thus far indicate there is no threat to the wider community,” she added.

Police confirmed that the woman arrested was not a member of staff at the assisted living complex.
Ms Broad said in a statement: “There is likely to be a police presence in the area for a number of days, so if you have any concerns or questions then please ask one of our officers or staff.
“The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.”
The police have not confirmed whether a post-mortem has been carried out.
