Pictures show the severe flooding caused by a burst water main near the Heyford Hill roundabout.

Major delays are occuring across the city due to major flooding amid a burst water main, which has led to the A423 between Kennington and Heyford Hill Roundabout being closed.

Cycle paths and footpaths have also been shut off.

Thames Water are aware of the burst pipe, and of the low water pressure for residents in OX1, OX4, OX14 and OX44.

The utilities provider has sent its specialist engineers to the scene to investigate the problem, but as it stands, major delays are likely to ensue for the next few hours.
