CONGESTION and delays are expected to increase near Bicester due to ongoing works.

The work will take place on the Aylesbury Road, A41 near Bicester in both directions and will include lane closures and temporary traffic signals.

It will include: “site clearance, kerbing, duct installation, utility services, traffic signal bases and drainage.”

The work is for “highway improvement” and is being carried out by Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority.

One Network states the work has been going on since June and is due to continue until March next year.

Oxfordshire County Council approved the work and has urged drivers to be aware of the increased congestion expected in the area.
