A jury will tomorrow continue deciding whether a driving instructor is "a predator who targets underage girls", as they were told yesterday.

Married father-of-two David Aston, of Bell Close, Cassington, admits driving four teenagers to secluded woodland near Bicester and asking them to kick him in the groin for sexual gratification.

But the 32-year-old, who denies sexual activity with a child, causing or enticing children to engage in sexual activity and making indecent photos of children, said he believed all four girls - aged 13 and 14 - were over the age of consent.

During his closing speech at Oxford Crown Court, Peter Coombe, prosecuting, said: "This man is a predator and what he is doing is targeting vulnerable individuals and corrupting them. His one and only goal was to satisfy his sexual predilection.

"You may think, looking at the DVD of those girls giving evidence, it is plain as a pikestaff that none of them are remotely close to being 16 or over."

But Claire Fraser, defending, said the girls appeared younger in the video than they might have seemed at the time of the incident in 2006.

She said: "They were out with their mates and they were dressed up. They were drinking, they were smoking, they were wearing make up. One said that when the other girl kicked him in the groin she was crying with laughter. They thought this was hilarious."

The jury of nine men and three women started their deliberations at noon today and were sent home at 2pm.
