A BAR manager from Kidlington has died following a history of alcohol, drug abuse and depression.

The medical cause of death of Anthony Jackson, 37, of Copthorne Road, has been ruled as hanging during a full inquest last week.

Oxford Coroners Court heard that Mr Jackson, who was born in Oxford, had a “history of alcohol, drug abuse and depression”.

Senior coroner Darren Salter said Mr Jackson was found dead at his home address on May 19 this year.

The purpose of an inquest is to establish who the deceased person was and how, when and where they died.

Mr Salter concluded on Wednesday last week (September 21) that Mr Jackson had taken his own life.
