TEMPORARY traffic lights are due to cause “long delays” into Oxford until October.

The temporary light signals have been put in place on Beaumont Street by Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, for “civil works”.

On “one.network”, it states: “Works along Beaumont Street from the junction with Walton Street and A4144 until the junction with Magdalen Street and St Giles.”

Oxfordshire County Council's traffic management team has warned drivers to expect “long delays” along Botley Road due to these lights.

It said: “Expect long delays along Botley road inbound to Oxford City due to temporary lights on Beaumont Street.

“Please allow extra time for journeys near this area.”
