There are things that really puzzle me.

One, why does a multi-millionaire like Michael Parkinson, one of the richest men in global TV, a man who can ask (and get) whatever he wants for interviewing anyone for half-an-hour or so, need to do ads for life insurance? Charity?

Two, why do actors insist on being called Rafe? I'd never heard of it until a couple of years ago. Is it an up-market version of Ralph.

Three, where the hell did the expression 'tad' come from?

Any suggestions?
