It is scandalous that we have failed to show respect to our dead servicemen and women by giving them a police escort through Oxfordshire.
This is the least they deserve after sacrificing their lives in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan.
We welcome Chief Constable Sara Thornton's assurance that the escorts will be restored in June.
