Sir - It seems perfectly possible that the rat Mr Lubowiecki saw on Easter Sunday "marching across" his patio (Letters, April 4) would have done so irrespective of whether his refuse collection is weekly or fortnightly.
Councillor Jean Fooks is to be congratulated on introducing a refuse collection scheme which has trebled the amount to be recycled.
Stick to your guns councillor!
