A TWO-year-old boy has died after falling into the canal in Banbury.
The incident happened near Bankside, south of the town, at about 3.45pm on Sunday.
The boy, who has not yet been named, was taken by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police say they are treating the death as unexplained, but not suspicious.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out.
