Police are appealing for witnesses after a 33-year-old man was killed at a notorious blackspot near Minster Lovell.

The 33-year-old man died on the Minster Road, between Brize Norton and Minster Lovell, near to the junction with the A40 dual carriageway at 8.50pm on Saturday.

Police said a silver Vauxhall Astra was being driven along the road in the direction of Minster Lovell when it left the road and collided with a tree.

Formal identification of the driver is expected to take place later today.

He is the third person to die at the spot in less than two years.
