AN inmate found hanging in a prison cell at Bullingdon prison near Bicester was today confirmed as a man serving a life-sentence for murder.
Michael John Hart, 50, was found in his cell by prison staff at 9am on Saturday.
A prison service spokesman said: "Staff and paramedics attempted resuscitation but Mr Hart was pronounced dead at 9.30am.
"Our sympathies are with Mr Hart's family."
He added: "As with all deaths in custody, the prions and probation ombudsman will conduct an investigation into his death."
The spokesman could not confirm how long Hart had been in custody.
