POLICE were called to Bullingdon prison, near Bicester, following the death of a 50-year-old inmate.
The man was found dead at 10am on Saturday.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. Enquiries are ongoing in conjunction with the prison authorities to determine the circumstances of the death.
"The Prison Ombudsman has been informed, as have the man's next of kin."
