BUDDING historians at a Kidlington school took a step back in time to learn about the Tudor period.

About 80 pupils at Edward Feild Primary School dressed up in Tudor dress, handled imitation weapons, sampled Tudor dishes and learned about everything from sanitation to theatre.

Pupil Kieran Kilcoyne, eight, said afterwards: "The Tudors did lots of amazing stuff, but it would have been quite tough to live at that time."
