Police briefly closed the A40 Oxford Northern Bypass tonight between the Banbury Road and Green Road roundabouts after receiving reports of a man acting strangely on the Marsh Lane flyover.
The road was closed for 10 minutes from 8.30pm.
A police spokesman said a 38-year-old man was "detained for his own safety", but no-one else was involved in the incident.
