A driver came back to an unwanted surprise when they parked their car in Witney.

The blue car which had been left in the Woodford Way car park on Sunday, had picked up not just scratches or parking dent but two huge dents in the side.

The owner posted on Witney Spotted: "Did anyone see a vehicle run into a blue Fiesta at the top end of the Woodford Way car park today between 2pm and 3.40 pm as have received two big dents in the side of my car."

Several comments underneath suggested that as there was no paint transfer or even broken paint someone could have kicked the door.

Oxford Mail:

The car park is run by West Oxfordshire District Council and two minutes from Witney Police Station.

If someone has bumped into your vehicle and left the scene they should (by law) have left a note including their name, address, contact number and explanation.

Leaving the scene is a crime and if the third party doesn’t leave a note and is caught, they could face criminal charges.

The easiest way to get the footage of your car being damaged is to involve the police or your insurer.
