A man known as "The Ant" - who is accused of trying to escape police custody in Oxfordshire - had his case adjourned yesterday at Oxford Crown Court.
The 41-year-old from Lovelace Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, denied the charge and was due to face trial.
He was released on bail. A trial date has yet to be fixed.
