Car enthusiasts, aficionados and 'petrolheads' descended on Blenheim Palace for the Salon Prive event, showcasing everything from classics to next-generation hypercars and EVs.

The Salon Privé events, now in their 17th year, are recognised as some of the world’s most prestigious automotive gatherings.

Rally icons and GT racers were in action, including the ex-Colin McRae Subaru Impreza and the ground-breaking Prodrive Hunter ‘the world's first all-terrain hypercar’ , taking part in the ‘Live on the Drive’ hill sprint.

On the South Lawn, a spectacular Legends feature paid tribute to almost 40 years of rallying competition success for Oxfordshire-based firm Prodrive.

A collection of cars from its long relationship with Aston Martin – from the DBRS9 all the way up to the latest GT3-spec Vantage were on show.

Enthusiasts were also be able to see the brand-new Prodrive Racing Simulator, which with its birch canopy, looks more like a piece of fine furniture.

Prodrive chairman David Richard said: "We set up Prodrive Legends in order to restore and maintain the great cars that we’ve created over the years, and it will be a special moment to see so many of them on display at Blenheim Palace."
