A NEW cafe and soft play area for children is due to open in Abingdon tomorrow (September 2).

The new establishment is due open in the old Vision Design space in Coxeter House, Ock Street.

It is currently being renovated and a resident has described the new design an “interesting-looking room with model hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling with afternoon tea-style stands”.

A resident who knows the new owner said on Facebook: “It will be good for those commuting to the bus area.

“The main cafe itself looked comfy and cosy and the kids area would be great too, even for kids birthday parties - the seating area is lovely too.

“Once the bar area is open that and the room to the side would be great for family events/parties.”
