GOOD news for two restaurants in Oxford as they are awarded a five star hygiene rating this month.

South African multinational fast casual chain Nando’s, in The Westgate, was handed a five-out-of-five rating by the Food Standards Agency.

Secondly, Caribbean bar and restaurant Turtle Bay, based in Friars Entry, was also given a score of five-out-five at the start of last month.

It means that our of Oxford's 407 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, a total of 343, which works out at 84 per cent, have ratings of five.

There is only one establishment that has a zero rating, That Coffee X, a café at 171 Cowley Road, which was given zero stars at the start of March this year by the food hygiene company.
