A POLICE Community Support Officer told tonight how she saved the life of a drunk 14-year-old girl in an Oxfordshire park.

The teenager had to be resuscitated by Sue Harris after she collapsed in a park and stopped breathing.

The girl and a friend, also 14, passed out drunk at a skateboard park in Grove, on Friday, at about 7.15pm after drinking vodka.

The teenager had stopped breathing and PCSO Sue Harris, on patrol with colleague PCSO Howard Pack, saved her life by giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

After about a minute the girl began breathing again and was taken to hospital. Both girls have now returned home.

PCSO Harris said: "It's not an experience I would like to repeat.

"I wouldn't want that to happen to any young person again. It's not very nice.

"However, we are trained to get on with what is put in front of you and then think about it afterwards."

It is believed someone bought a litre of vodka from a local shop for the 14-year-olds to drink.

Sgt Claire Storry, of Wantage neighbourhood policing team, said: "Their irresponsible actions could have had fatal consequences and cost them their lives."
