Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry driver died in a collision on the M40 this morning.
A German-registered articulated lorry collided with a Polish articulated lorry, thought to have been stationary in a lay-by at the time, on the northbound carriageway between junction six at Lewknor and junction seven at Thame at 2am.
A man in his 40s from Germany suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Sgt Jack Hawkins, from Bicester Roads Policing, said: "I am appealing for anyone who might have seen either vehicle prior to the collision.
"The motorway was shut for about four hours while the scene was investigated and now one lane is closed while recovery of the vehicles takes place.
"If anyone saw this accident and has not spoken to the police it is vital they do so, so we can ascertain what the cause of the collision was."
Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
