LISTED: All the Oxfordshire road closures you need to know about this week

Drivers in and around Oxford will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows the following closures across the county:

Oxford

• A34, from 8pm August 4 to 6am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Botley, slip road and lane closures for electrical work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm June 1, 2022, to 6am March 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, major works advance warning signage only for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from 6am August 1 2022 to 11.59pm July 20 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm August 24 to 6am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Botley, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm August 25 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Peartree to Botley, Lane closures for electrical work.

South Oxfordshire

• A34, from 8pm August 25 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Peartree to Botley, Lane closures for electrical work.

• M40, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 7 to junction 6, Lane closure for communications works.

• M40, from 7pm September 5 to 7am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 8 Oxford Spur, mobile lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 7pm September 5 to 7am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 8 Oxford Spur, mobile lane closure for maintenance works.

Vale of White Horse

• A34, from 7pm August 19 to 6am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Hinksey Hill to Abingdon North, diversion route for Oxfordshire County County Council works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm August 22 to 6am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, West Ilsley to Milton, lane closures for barrier works.

• A34, from 8pm August 24 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Milton to Marcham, lane closures for barrier works.

• A34, from 8pm August 25 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Peartree to Botley, Lane closures for electrical work.

• A34, from 8pm August 30 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Marcham to Abingdon, lane closures for barrier works.

• M4, from 8pm August 31 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 15 to 14, Lane closures for technology work.

• A34, from 8pm September 1 to 6am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Marcham to Hinksey Hill, lane closures for barrier works.

• A34, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Hinksey Hill to Botley, Lane closures for barrier works.

• M4, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 15 entry slip road closed for white lining works. Includes lane closure on the main carriageway. Diversion via M4 eastbound to junction 14, to turn and return westbound.

Cherwell

• A43, from 9pm March 28 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A43 northbound and southbound, Cherwell services to Baynards Green roundabout, Lane closures due to survey works.

And a further 28 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm August 22 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Islip, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing, diversion via National Highways network.

• M40, from 9pm August 22 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 10 to junction 11, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9pm August 22 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 11 to junction 10, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm August 22 to 6am August 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 11, entry slip road closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm August 22 to 6am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 11 to junction 12, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm August 22 to 6am August 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 11, exit slip road closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm August 22 to 6am August 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 10 to junction 12, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 10pm August 22 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 10 to junction 11, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance work.

• M25, from 8pm August 30 to 6am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 15 to junction 1, mobile lane closures for maintenance works.
