WITNEY teenagers are to be involved in designing a BMX track.
Invitations have gone out to students at the town's secondary schools and Abingdon and Witney College to devise layouts.
Young people have also been invited to a 6pm public meeting at the Corn Exchange on March 6.
Witney mayor Chrissie Curry, who is behind the project, has been promised 900 tons of earth free and is also looking for volunteer manpower and free use of machinery.
"It's for the young people of the town, so I'm confident we will get offers," she added.
The town council is also keen to get a Youth Council set up to have a voice in the public affairs of the town.
Secondary schools will be asked to select candidates to sit on it, each of them taking on responsibility to liaise with feeder primary schools in Witney.
