Police are looking for witnesses after a teenage girl was pushed to the floor by a man ‘in his 40s’.

The incident happened at about 9.30pm yesterday (August 8) on Warwick Road.

The teenager wasn’t left with any serious injuries.

The man is described as slim, around 5ft 3ins tall with shoulder length brown hair and a brown beard.

Investigating officer PC James Oliver, based at Banbury police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed this incident or has CCTV or door-cam footage in the area to please get in touch.  

“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220353427.

“Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”
