Police have released an image of a man that officers would like to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in Oxford.

At around 4am on 8 February this year, the victim, a woman in her 20s, left Atik nightclub in the direction of the train station.

She was approached by the offender, who offered to walk with her.

Near Frideswide Square, the offender touched the victim inappropriately over her clothing and tried to put his hand down her trousers.

The offender then ran away.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Josephine Cassidy, based at Oxford police station, said: “We are releasing the image of this man as we believe he may have information that could help our investigation.

“If you recognise this man, or if this is you, please get in touch.

“You can report information by calling 101 or online, quoting reference 43220058389.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or online.”
