Oxford-based PR agency Fortitude Communications has launched its annual competition for charities to win free digital content support.

The winning charities will be provided with expert support to help them engage with their audiences online.

Fortitude’s team of specialists will produce a video for the winner of the competition and a photo-shoot and media support for the runners up.

Fortitude launched the competition last year to help local charities bounce back from the coronavirus pandemic and decided to make it an annual event.

It is open to charities registered in Oxfordshire.

Greig Box Turnbull, founder of Fortitude, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for charities to have a beautiful video or a set of photographs produced to make a difference to their cause.

“Last year’s winners have really benefited from the support they received and we’re looking forward to helping more charities. We’re passionate about our community and making a difference.”

Thom Airs, head videographer and licensed drone operator at Fortitude added: “Video and photography are an ideal way to grab attention and tell stories.

A panel of judges at Fortitude will consider the entries and select the winning charities.

Last year Be Free Young Carers scooped first prize and had a two-minute video produced of its annual fun day which has helped the charity promote the impact of its work to supporters.

Sabine North, CEO of Be Free Young Carers said: “The video has made a huge difference to how we engage our supporters.

“We have regularly shared it with potential funders who have been amazed by the stories perfectly captured in the film.”
