Police have taken over the investigation into a fire that killed a pensioner and injured her husband on Saturday.
Emma Midgley, spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire Service, said that the most likely cause was the wood-burning stove in the home, in Sutton Wick Lane, Drayton.
Oxfordshire Coroner's Office has not officially identified the body of the elderly woman, who is thought to be Joan Martin.
Her husband Nigel is in a critical condition at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
