Two hospitality venues have been handed new food hygiene ratings by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The FSA is responsible for assessing and rating venues which serve food to the public.

They score places on a zero to five scale, zero being the lowest and five the highest.

Vale of White Horse

Faringdon Town Football Club, at Tucker Park, Park Road, Faringdon, was given a three-out-of-five score after an assessment on June 30.

It means that of the Vale of White Horse's 116 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 72 (62 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

Cherwell

Bishops Bakes, at Parsons Street, Banbury also scored a three-out-of-five rating after an assessment on June 30.

It means that of Cherwell's 169 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 126 (75 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
