POLICE officers are stamping down on anti-social behaviour in a town centre.
Thames Valley Police South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse posted online: “A Section 34 has been granted in Wantage town centre from August 3 at 3pm to August 5 at 3pm.
“This authority enables officers to issue Section 35 notices to any person who is causing or is likely to cause anti-social behaviour.
“The notice requires the person to leave a specified area for up to a period of 48 hours.”

Anti-social behaviour can be reported to Thames Valley Police by phoning 101 or via the website.
Section 34 powers provide the police with a short-term solution to anti-social behaviour.
