THERE is mystery over a sign more than a year out of date, which appeared in an East Oxford road last night.
The sign in Littlehay Road read ‘Cowley LTNs installation’ alongside the dates March 8, 2021, to March 12, 2021.
LTNs in Temple Cowley, Church Cowley and Florence Park were introduced on March 8 of last year, under an experimental traffic regulation order.
In Littlehay Road – in addition to Cornwallis Road, Rymers Lane and Clive Road – LTNs were first introduced on March 8, the date indicated on the sign.
Last month, Oxfordshire county councillors unanimously voted to keep LTNs in Cowley.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire County Council said: “We are aware of this road sign and it has now been removed. Road or street problems can be reported using the FixMyStreet website.”
