CELEBRITY comedian Michael McIntyre is coming to Oxfordshire to try out some of his new material in front of a live audience.

He will be performing at New Theatre Oxford on September 8 and tickets are going on sale tomorrow at 10am.

The comedian’s big break came when he performed on the televised 2006 Royal Variety Performance.

Since then, he has become one of the most successful comedians in the world, with his tours selling more than four million tickets.

He holds the record for the highest selling artist at London’s O2, the UK’s biggest arena, for 28 sold out shows.

He also hosted the hit BBC One gameshow Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, which has been nominated for BAFTA and NTA Awards and returns later this year for a third series.
