A number of bus routes around Oxford will be disrupted this week, with stops on the route not being serviced.  

The routes are disrupted due to roadworks and works being carried out by Thames Water.

These are the impacted routes you need to know:

The Plain Stop Closure, Iffley Road

Routes: city3, city3A, River Rapids X39, River Rapids X40

On Tuesday 2nd August between 9.30am and 3.30pm, The Plain stop on Iffley Road will be suspended due to roadworks. This will affect services travelling in both directions.

During the time of this closure, passengers are advised to use the James Street stop as an alternative.

 

Cumnor Hill Bottom Stop Closure, Cumnor Hill

Routes: city4, city4B, Thames Travel 63

From Wednesday (August 3) until Tuesday 9th August, the Cumnor Hill Bottom stop on Cumnor Hill will be suspended due to Thames Water works. This will affect services travelling towards Cumnor.

During the time of this closure, passengers are advised to use the Elms Parade or Arnolds Way stops as alternatives.

 

South Parade Stop Closure, Oxford

Routes: city6, park&ride300

On Tuesday (August 2) between 9.30am and 3.30pm, the South Parade stop on Woodstock Road will be suspended due to roadworks. This will affect services travelling towards Wolvercote and Pear Tree Park&Ride.

During the time of this closure, passengers are advised to use the Osberton Road stop as an alternative.

 

Donnington Bridge Road Closure

Routes: city46, Science transit ST1

On Tuesday (August 2) between 9.30am and 3.30pm, the Donnington Bridge Road and Townsend Square stops on Donnington Bridge Road will be suspended due to roadworks. This will affect services travelling in both directions.

Be aware that this is a rolling road closure and the services will serve the Townsend Square or Donnington Bridge Road stops, if the stop is accessible.

Passengers for the city46 are advised to use the Weirs Lane and Freelands Road stops as alternatives, passengers for the ST1 are advised to use the Weirs Lane and Howard Street stops as alternatives.

 

Marston Road stop closures, Oxford

Routes: city13, cityX3, BROOKESbus5

Until August 19) stops at Ferry Road, towards John Radcliffe Hospital, and Edgeway Road, towards Oxford City Centre, will be suspended due to roadworks.

Passengers for Ferry Road, towards John Radcliffe Hospital, please use Edgeway Road as an alternative. Passengers for Edgeway Road, towards Oxford City Centre, please use Jack Straws Lane as an alternative.

 

Cowley Road

From August 3 to 5 and 8 to 11 from 7.30 to 5.30am, stops on Cowley Road will be suspended due to roadworks. This will affect services travelling in both directions.

During the time of this closure, as we are unable to serve the following stops:

• The Swan

• Clive Road

• Marsh Road

• Shelley Road & Glanville Road

• Howard Street

• Magdalen Road East

• Manzil Way

• James Street

• Stockmore Street

• The Plain

Diversions will be made via Between Towns Road/Church Road and Iffley Road in both directions at the following stops:

• Templars Square (5/5A only)

• The Swan (near the pub)(U5 only)

• Henley Avenue

• Howard Street

• Magdalen Road

• Henley Street

• James Street

• The Plain
