A man will be sentenced next month for wounding another in Chinnor.
Matthew Ewens, 31, had been due to stand trial in August on the allegation he caused his victim grievous bodily harm on April 25 last year.
But he returned to Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, pleading guilty on a basis to the single charge.
Ewens, of Church Lane, Chinnor, was granted unconditional bail to return to court on August 25 for sentence.
Judge Nigel Daly said: “There is going to be another report prepared on you this time by the probation service. You will return to this court on August 25. In the meantime it is in your interests to engage in the making of that pre-sentence report.”
