A Cowley man is due before the magistrates this morning in connection with a shooting on Sunday.
Emman Riasat, 21, of Outram Road, Cowley, has been charged by the police with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
It follows a shooting in Cowley Road on Sunday night.
Police were called at 6.45pm to reports of a firearm being discharged near the junction with Crown Street.
The road was closed-off for more than two hours while officers recovered a black Vauxhall Corsa and photographed the scene.
The alleged victim was taken to hospital with an injury to his shoulder. He had been discharged by the following morning.
