THE husband of a pensioner killed in a blaze is still in a critical condition in hospital.
Nigel Martin escaped from his bungalow in Sutton Wick Lane, Drayton, near Abingdon, with severe burns to his head and feet.
The blaze, which began on Saturday evening, destroyed the house. Firefighters later found a body, believed to be that of Mr Martin's wife, Joan.
However, the Oxford coroner's office has still not formally identified the body.
Mr Martin is at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, near Aylesbury. His condition is said to be not life-threatening.
