Supermodel Kate Moss has revealed that since moving full-time to the Cotswolds she has become a regular visitor to her local garden centre.

The model, 48, gave up drinking four years ago, sold her home in Highgate, North London, and moved to her property in West Oxfordshire.

She was asked by host Lauren Laverne on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “How much has life changed for you since you moved?”

She replied: “Oh my god, I’m obsessed with gardening. I have got a membership to the garden centre and I go with my mum and we have the best time.”

The model is often seen locally and in 2011 married rocker Jamie Hince in a star-studded event at St Peter's Church in Southrop.

Last September her blue vintage MG broke down leaving her stranded on the A361 near Bradwell Village.

The car was eventually recovered by Lechlade-based Morse Motors.

Asked if she was a member at Lechlade Garden Centre, a staff member said: “I’ve heard rumours but I’ve never been lucky enough to see her myself. But it's likely as she’s always around and about in Lechlade.”

The Croydon-born star, who was scouted at 14 on a flight from New York to London after a holiday in the Bahamas, has famously never properly spoken to the Press.

Oxford Mail:

She also told Ms Laverne: “[Partying] is boring to me now. I love a dance, but I’m not into being out of control now.

“I like to go to bed, get up early – do my meditation before anyone is up. And I like to be in control.”
