ABOUT 200 people marched through Oxford on Saturday to show their support for scientific animal testing.
The march was organised by Pro-Test, which supports the building of the University of Oxford's new animal testing laboratory in South Parks Road.
Dr Evan Harris, Lib Dem MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, also spoke at the event.
Work on the new lab was halted between July 2004 and November 2005 following a campaign by animal rights groups - but construction is now under way again.
