A teenager arrested yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder in Bicester has been bailed.

The 17-year-old boy, who is from Bicester, was arrested in the wake of an alleged knife attack on a woman in her 30s.

Police say the woman was attacked by a group of up to five men in a house in Fakenham Street, Bicester, between 4.20am and 4.30am.

So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault.

  • A 17-year-old boy from Bicester is accused of attempted murder, section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
  • An 18-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
  • A Bicester man, 45, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

All have been released on bail by the police.

The 17-year-old is expected to return to the police station to answer bail on August 17.

On Tuesday, senior investigating officer DI James Holden-White said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation but have no concerns at this time that there is a risk to the wider public.”
